On the good side, this once expensive high-end Denon does play for the moment. I was able to put in a few discs, pick the one I wanted, listen through the variable volume headphone jack, and output to my receiver and play through that. It sounded great. The front drawer opens. I have the remote and the original instruction manual. On the bad side; the drawer sometimes needs a light touch/push just to close, and it sounds like its laboring, and needs some attention. The remote isnt functioning, and is missing the cover for the battery compartment where it looks like there mightve been some battery corrosion. And beyond all that there are many functions I couldnt/didnt know how to test (Im no audio equipment expert, just clearing out family storage). Cosmetically there are various moderate scratches and stains. See photos. Im selling as-is with no returns (shipping on this large unit will be expensive!). It could be that with just a little loving care this could be a great unit. Or it could have a host of problems to solve. Ill pack carefully, but no idea how travel will affect it. It seems a bit on the edge. I worry it could arrive and refuse to play. I can offer no promises, just honestly report what Im seeing. Im trying to keep the cost reasonable enough to cover the shipping and eBay fees and leave a little over to make it worth selling, but not be prohibitive if you need to buy replacement parts.
