This is a superb tonearm that requires the very best of cartridges not the cheap one I have installed (CARTRIDGE NOT INCLUDED) The base plate is also not included as it was made specifically for the turntable neither is the turntable These were a few thousand from Alium Audio the Importer I will have my local HIFI shop take it off and give it the seal of approval before shipping it The Tonearm certainly was not cheap, Capable of great results, it is a duo pivot design, I had to have my local HiFi put the arm together and put on the cartridge and align it all properly. I do not have the time and patience to fiddle around with unpivot type designs, this tonearm was designed for Consonance by well tempered labs, who make even fiddlier tonearms of outstanding performance This tonearm is for a pure hifi/ audiophile enthusiast who wants the very best sound possible and keeps there records pristine. Unpivot and Duo Pivot designs are great for playing warped records T88 has a unique combination of bearings. A high precision ball-bearing assembly is used for the horizontal plane of motion. Two single point bearings are incorporated for the vertical mode of motion. So, T88 in the vertical direction with a flexible single point bearing and in the horizontal direction more stable and solid, the adjustment becomes easy. This is a very nice example of the 9” ST-100 tonearm made by Opera Consonance Audio. This is an excellent arm and was very highly reviewed at the time it was released. It has a highly polished stainless steel arm base and counterweight, plus carbon fibre armtube and is adjustable for height and azimuth. The arm mounts using a single 20mm diameter hole with a pivot to turntable spindle distance of 214mm, so is a suitable match for most Linn/Jelco mounts. This example is in superb condition and complete in its original box and with all accessories, including a good quality Perspex alignment protractor. It also comes with paper copies of the original flyer and the user manual. Please note that NO arm lead is supplied, but the arm takes a standard 5-pin tonearm connector.
