Please read - the plug is a temporary replace - I did that to be able to confirm function. It will need a plug if you hate my ugly replace job which was again just done to verify operational status. Please read on for the rest of the original posting: This unit is working, contacts cleaned, all switches etc... both channels nice and clean, perfect for series I or II, I just listened to an hour of Frank Sinatra at The Sands and it sounded just great. I am a 901 owner myself (Series I and Series VI ver 2) and ran it on my own system. I got it as a back up and if I were to keep it I would have the caps redone just because of the age, but it is working right now. I opened it up and photographed the inside for anyone who would wish to be able to see that. This is listed as parts / not working because I cannot guarantee it and it is sold as is. These are not so often seen. I can tell you those Deer Creek replacements simply dont cut it so if you have 901s this is what you need to make them sing. DHS speaker on ebay services these and for a small amount they end up as good as new if not better. Cabinet I feel is better than typical w/ some corner damage / dings as seen in the pics - not too much but just so you know. I got it with the cord / plug cut off for reasons unknown. I put a cord on and affixed w/ wire nuts. Im auditioning it as I write this and its very nice. If you have series I or II this is what youre looking for.

Vintage Bose model 901, Series II Speakers Pair (working). These were my fathers. He hung them in the corners of our living room with chain. (see screw holes in bottom). He listened to opera. We listened to Pink Floyd. :-) We were all amazed by the stereo feature! Ha!There is a little wear to the wood, light scratches etc... but overall in nice condition. I have the equalizer that goes with them (mentioned on the label). I will sell in separate listing. I may need to ship in separate boxes.

This is perhaps for that more particular individual, its about as nice as youll find, perfect for the original series and series II, and it has been rebuilt as seen by DHS speaker with audio upgrade, please see the pics as they tell the story, so many upgraded capacitors, sonicap etc … far better than the original, which by the way lasted over 40 years before being serviced, so this is now better than ever for decades to come! Im downsizing so I cant keep it all. Pics show new / better capacitors as you can see, some additional parts in the amp section to enhance the curve to where it belongs, shielding etc ... this is better than when it was new in terms of performance because they used better parts at DHS and it sounds absolutely fantastic). Cabinet is nice w/ minimal handling evidence - it is more of a traditional walnut color - the pics w/ flash color it some. This is a nice one.Very careful packing for safe delivery!

Super rad vintage Bose 901 Series ii active equalizer! Made in USA.wrapped in vinyl veneered particleboard. Powers up and seen working when purchased 6 months ago. Unable to test myself so selling as is. Serial number: 106238

Bose 901 Active Equalizer Series II. Tape Recorder And Amplifier Connections. It appears to have some sort of water damage, noticed some oxidation on the terminals. The wood is also not in the best of shape. Corners and edges are damaged and missing. A good project for somebody. The switches and knob operate fine. Plugged it in and the red light flickers. A tear down with a good cleaning might have this baby running like a top. Selling as is. Parts or project to restore. Have a look at the photos for general overall condition. Cabinets solid with what I think is less than typical bumps and bangs. Back grills intact w/ some taped areas and wear to cloth, they are not affixed but stay in place, Classic speakers, they are Working great and sound amazing. I have been using these in my home with the series II eq that is listed and they are really sweet. Cloth surrounds on this series. Far better! The drivers are all in very nice condition. Local pick up only, I can possibly meet someone half way depending on distance.
