Bose 3’s up to 10 years old the wave 4 can be up to 7 years old. You are buying this system knowing this and accepting this as wear and tear due to age of materials used by the manufacturer. Some Old CDs can also be corrupt from age and sunlightSome CDs will struggle to play (old CDs or CDs with 20+ Tracks) The Optical drive is old & with age gets a little tired & unfortunately its just the way it isWe test them all with up to 20 track CDs and adjust them to accommodate this at least !!!Replacement drives are no good - weve tried nearly all of them!!!
