Put everything aside somewhere while I regained my health. About a year ago I was asking about upgrading an Ortofon 2M Black and someone mentioned the Benz Micro and a little light went on. I dug around in a box of stuff and there were the cartridge AND this wonderfully engineered little ebony wood cover/body for the thing. Benz Micro sells several similarly wood-clad cartridges that sell like girl scout cookies curbside to a cannabis dispensary, but, as they say (whoever THEY are), to each his own, one mans poison is another mans pleasure and mine were always the Samoas. SO, if youve been watching ads for this from the original seller, know that its a VERY nice piece of art and it works, adding a certain depth and mild resonance dampening you need to hear. Not a BAD thing, just different. No installation instructions included but the maker does have a link to a Youtube video explaining how to mount it without damaging the very delicate armature of the Glider. This IS solid, no cracks/defects, screws ARE included. Sorry, no returns unless it doesnt fit YOUR Benz Micro Glider. Just let me know within 24 hours of delivery to your door, return at your expense AS SOLD (no dings, dents, cracks, scratches or other damage) and Ill refund what you paid for it, but NOT postage either way. This always seems more than fair to me. YMMV. Void where prohibited by lawfare.

This cartridge was moderately used for 2-3 years, the former owner reckons its had in the region of 6-700 hours playing time. It still sounds great and tracks well but the cantilever has skewed a little so its no longer central. Also, it sits rather close to the surface of a record in use -see the fourth picture. So, it has some life but its not in its first flush of youth. While its branded Scheu, this is a standard Benz SL, its an excellent cartridge, entry level for Benz but still 750 retail and you could definitely do worse for the money. As you can see it comes in both boxes with the instructions, brush, spirit level, non-magnetic screwdriver and two sets of bolts. It has threaded inserts, its securely fixed into that box.
