Vintage 1960s/70s Bang & Olufsen BeoCord 1200 reel to reel tape deck Type 4207. The BeoCord 1200 was manufactured between 1969 and 1972. The unit powers up and the play, rewind and fast forward controls work and the reels spin accordingly. I cannot test whether it plays or records because I do not have any tapes, speakers or an amplifier. For this reason, and due to the items age, it is being sold as for spares or repair. The buyer should ensure that the item is checked by a competent and qualified electrician before use. It will be sold without a mains plug. The item is in reasonably good cosmetic condition but does have some cosmetic marks commensurate with its age as can be seen in the numerous photographs. Some idiot has applied parcel tape to the main unit and the clear plastic cover. I have got most if not all of it off the clear cover. The clear plastic cover is not cracked but is scratched (see photos). Some parcel tape is still on the main body but I have left it for fear of damaging the wood. There is only one of the rubber things that keep the reels on the spindles and one of the rotating feet is missing as can be seen in the photos.
