The speaker cable was made by Bose and is terminated with RCA plugs on speaker end and left bare wire on the amp end. Should you require to be terminated with spades or bananas, please let me know. Over the years, theyve earned a reputation for innovation and picked up numerous rewards, and become known as the manufacturers of some of the most advanced speaker systems for home and professional use on the market. The MS30 dates all the way back to 1984 (note: the MS30 was re-used for a budget model in 1993 - these are the original 1984 version) and, like all high-end speakers of that era, offers superb build quality with wooden cabinets, excellent electronics and quality materials used throughout. They look good too, apart from the light brown mesh - but quality speaks for itself, and if you take the mesh off they look every bit as imposing as they did forty years ago. For the first four years, the MS30 sold well to the sorts of people who took their hi-fis seriously and had a bit more cash to spare than the average casual listener, but it was around 1988 to 1990 that they really took off. That was because of acid house and early techno - with so few other domestic speakers up to the job of even attempting to replicate the bass in records such as LFO in all its gut-shaking glory, Mordaunt-Short suddenly became the speaker to have. Theyve remained popular ever since, with listeners of all flavours, and as such have kept their value far better than most of the other speakers of the same era. Its not all about the bass, however (though back in 1990 when LFO came out, Id have argued otherwise), and the MS30s dont disappoint at any frequency: mid-range is rich and distinct, trebles are knife-sharp - all in all, performance is superb through the entire audible sound stage, perfect resolution all the way. And with 100W maximum power, your neighbours will be able to appreciate them just as much as you. This is a matched pair (note the serial numbers), and theyre in better condition than most: with so many having formed part of amateur sound systems carted round to mates houses for party action, its common to see MS30s with deep gouges in the woodwork. These ones enjoyed a more sendentary life and are in excellent shape - theres a light scuff here and there but nothing youd noticed without looking for it and the cabinets are structurally sound. The mesh is a little dusty but free of rips, and the pegs to clip it onto the cabs are all in place. As can be seen in the sixth photo, the cap of one tweeter is dented but this has no appreciable effect on audio quality, which is exactly as expected for this model - rich and resonant at any volume. The floor stands as seen in the photos are included. Grill cover is loose and comes off easily. Superb Audio quality. Great vintage design.

I had these speaker cables connected to my Martin Logan CLSII speakers. My GOSH! They sounded superb! Over the years the connection at the spade connector on one of the leads became frayed. I contacted Monster Cable and they very graciously agreed to replace the pair with Brand New M2.2s! The Old M2,2s had huge spade connectors that did not allow for many speakers connectors. The newer, replacement M2-2s have much more universally comparable spade connectors. I had downsized by then and I never got around to hooking them up with my newer, smaller speakers. So, they have not yet been used!It has been probably 20 years since they were replaced. I look fondly at them from time to time, but I just never got around to using them. The Monster suitcase is in great shape as well!Do you want them?The rubber sleeves at the end of the connectors are brittle and cracked from age, but that does not effect the performance in the least.If you wish to clean up their look, you could heat shrink new sleves on the end; but the old school sleeves lend an air of authenticity, like the cracked upholstery of a 57 Chevy. I will box the suitcase and cables in a well padded carton to insure safe arrival.Please observe my feed back, and relax. Thanks for looking!

From my collection am selling this pair of black Bose 601 series iii speakers sound incredible,best model ever made by bose...all drivers work woofers reformed about 6 years ago still like new,one tweeter has dented dust cap does not affect play or sound one top woofer has a stain on bottom of surround again does not affect sound( see photos )..cabinets still hold there shine some minor little dents that cannot be seen because of black color unless looking for them up close nothing major ..grill covers need to be redone one hole in top one and some minor pulls on bottom grill covers....serial numbers are close 67401/67233..The clear imaging of these speakers and filling a room with sound has to be heard in person to do them justice but I did add a video of them playing..check all photos and ask question prior to bidding and auction ending...will be shipped in 2 boxes at 53 lbs each..shipping reflects total amount..will ship international...starting bid and buy it now is comparable to past sold auctions of these models
