There are some superficial marks on the top of the unit caused by the feet of a tuner stored on top. Further superficial marks on the remote control and screen. Using audiolab’s slot loading mechanism, the transport uses read-ahead digital bu?ering to reduce disc reading failures and deliver the highest level of digital signal extraction from a wide range of CDs, even capable of reading scratched and damaged CDs that are unreadable by conventional mechanisms. The onboard digital decoder utilises digital coax and optical outputs to deliver the maximum versatility. The master clock is controlled by a temperature-compensated crystal oscillator, enabling the digital output from both coaxial and optical sockets to exhibit vanishingly low levels of jitter (digital distortion). In addition, the coaxial output is fed from a differential line driver to ensure a flawless digital signal reaches the accompanying DAC – naturally, the 32-bit DAC section in the 6000A integrated amp is a superb sonic match. By mounting the transport in its own, electromagnetically shielded enclosure, and including a dedicated power supply, the digital signal extraction from any CD is as accurate and precise as it is possible to achieve.

Im selling my valued Audiolab 6000CDT CD player/transport which I bought in January from Sevenoaks Sound & Vision on the Amazon UK marketplace (original order will be supplied and part is pictured showing the price paid). The reason for sale is simply that this kit is so very good that it has persuaded me to upgrade to the Audiolab flagship 9000CDT which has now arrived. This is a superb player and when connected with a quality coaxial cable to a decent DAC you will be amazed by the sound quality. If you are looking at this item you almost certainly know this but this is a dedicated CD player/transport which needs to be used with a DAC sitting between it and your amplifier. It has no built in DAC of its own. If youve any questions, dont hesitate to send me a message. Ive done my best with photos which I hope will suffice but if you need more just ask me. Mains power cable and remote are included. All you will need to get going will be some AAA batteries for the remote and a cable to connect to your DAC.
