The APP4C is on a British 7 pin B7 base and has a 4 volt 1.95 amp heater. It is a quality device designed for substantial domestic audio output service and can develop a healthy 3.6 watts RMS with just 5% THD. It has the rather unique feature of the suppresor grid being brought out to its own pin, allowing the valve to operate without stopper resistors and to give its full output to the loudspeaker. This valve is a real quality item of interest to those who may have a treasured old valve radio that uses one of these, or for modification of a set to use one, for experimenters, audiophiles and/or collectors alike.
