Pre-owned Rare Vintage Fried Signature Series A3 Audiophile Loudspeakers. This is a rare opportunity to own a set of hard to find A/3 model speakers from Fried. They are in excellent condition with a few minor surface marks from age, but appear to have been well cared for- please review all pics for details. Cabinets have been detailed and premium oil used for the real wood veneer. Grills have a few snags. Both speakers are working, however, one has a bad crossover and will not produce sound. The drivers from that cabinet were removed to test independently, and both worked. That cabs reset board has also come loose. The fully working speaker produced amazing sound with clear, bright highs and tight lows. These are excellent speakers well worth the investment in a crossover repair/update. Both woofers appear to still have good foam surrounds. No other items included. Packed well for safe shipping. Each speaker shipped in a single box with insurance and sign for release. Exotic conductors and shielding are fine, but in our experience, the connectors can make more difference than the cable itself. Generic RCA type audio plugs and cables have been around since the 1940s, but the old solder-type plugs typically have an impedance of about 25 ohms. The connectors are crimped in place, using heavy, precision-machined dies. The crimps are so tight that oxygen is excluded.
