Arcam Alpha 7SE cd player in very good condition and full working order. This was a What HiFi 5 Star award winner back in the day and it can still hold its own against today’s machines. I am selling as I have no further interest in music and it is time to downsize my collection. You will receive the Alpha 7SE, mains lead and generic remote control. ARCAM FMJ CD23 CD-Player Ring DAC - FAULTY Good cosmetic condition, with wear on the buttons from normal use and a few minor marks. Slight scratch on the cd drawer. Until a few months ago this player has been working perfectly but the analogue outputs have now stopped working and there is no output to my amplifier. I have tested it on the other amp inputs and used alternative cables but it still does not work. It is not my amplifier at fault as I have tried an alternative cd player which works fine. However the coax digital output works perfectly so the unit could be used as a pure cd transport if you have a DAC or amplifier with DAC built in. I have been using it like this myself for a while. Someone with the time and electrical skill might be able to fix the analogue output. Complete with remote and manual, plus original box. Will post via Parcel Force 48. It also comes with its original transit screws, which should be removed on arrival with you and stored in the back of the casing when not in use. Condition report: This unit is in very good condition, with no nasty scratches or damages. A great example. In use: We have poured and tested this CD player. Everything works as you would expect and the display is bright. The remote works well. Summary: These original Arcam units are great to use and listen too. This is a very good example. Hi, and thanks for viewing. Our late son, Nathan (YouTube: paradigma), had this for a couple of years before he died in 12. We disconnected the wires, and removed batteries. Then, into the [virtual] garage under wrappings, along with the accompanying Arcam 8R (already listed) and Celestion A1s, which will be listed in the next few days. With moving and other factors, only now listing. I listened on headphones to a CD from the 8SEs through the amp., and sounds fine. Speaker connections looked too complex to try to connect, so assume alls as he left them; well respected. Guess the handsets are likewise. I rarely do eBay, and always allow the auction to run its course, no matter any now offers. Probably about 15 years old, but as not tech savvy, I cant help any further.
