Rare Akai vintage deck made in Japan, in good condition, perfect operation. New pinch roller and belt. The front is in good condition, the edges of the wooden box are flawless. There is a small damage on the plastic edge in one place. Overall, a serviced device in very good condition. I only ship to Europe.

Powers on but will not play a tape for longer than a few seconds, most likely needs new belts, but could need some more work. This casette player is being sold as parts/repair only, sold as is, No Returns.

AKAI CS 34D 2 HEAD CASSETTE DECK Good quality, straightforward 1970s top loading cassette deck. Made in Japan. Metal chassis, wood veneer case , moulded base, brushed aluminium top with moulded panel. Piano keys, VU display, Normal, CrO2, compatible, auto-stop. Well specified: 2 heads, Dolby B noise reduction, record level balance adjustment, input/output to L/R stereo RCA or 5 pin DIN, 2 Mono L&R Microphone inputs, headphone jack. Top plate in very good condition- slightly marked with some minor dints, no nasty scratches. Wood veneer case is in very good condition also. Working order in play, fast wind and rewind work as they should. All other functions, buttons switches and connections working fine. Motor is audible. Speed stability and pitch is good. Heads and pinch roller in good condition. Only the Record panel lamp works, VU meters tape play and Dolby indicator lamp are not working. Left hand VU meter is not very responsive. Record tested and working well. Good playback of old and new cassettes or pre-recorded tapes. Detailed, very good sound stage and channel separation. Quiet on headphones, plenty of volume through speakers.
