Another one of my amazing auctions. I love selling rare, mint or unique items, especially when its all three! If you’re looking at this then you know what this is. The wait is over…. Finally a clean AIWA HS-F07 that is not completely banged up. very hard to find either one of these, let alone with box. I had this unit as a teenager in 1984 and since then have been searching hard for headphones but no luck. time to let her ago. I have found these units do come up occasionally but always always wrecked or broken. minimal signs of ware from being almost 40 years old Still has the original battery cover too and no corrosion anywhere I am an original owner and when I put in batteries My jaw dropped when it still powered up after so many decades. Incredibly it also plays with nice sound through a headset.. Obviously this should be serviced but the most important thing is that there is power!!!! everything else can be fixed. The forward and rewind even works, unbelievable!!! the only thing is that I have to hold down the play button for it to run- not sure why. The box is very clean, crisp and bright. still has the original plastic insert and small piece of foam. No manuals or headphones included unfortunately. The photos do form a part of the description so please view carefully. I have taken some footage to show power and movement but as with all vintage gear of this age it has no guarantees and must be considers as-is when sold. You can use it for parts or repair it if you know how to repair. I plugged it into a power source and the digital display came on and there is noise coming from the built in speaker. Thats about it!! I wasnt sure if the motor was running or not. If it did, the belt is most likely broken since it was not turning the tape. Hopefully someone can repair it or salvage some parts from it to repair theirs. The top part is loose!! It might need some screws. This walkman is almost 30 years old obviously, that said, there are scratches, bumps all over and other flaws I may have overlooked. Aiwa HS-F07 Stereo Cassette Recorder Used Aiwa HS-F07. I bought this unit many years ago as a non working unit. There was damage from a leaking battery and the unit did not function. Recently I cleaned it up and repaired the wiring inside that had been damaged. I also installed a new belt. There is a tiny little spring that controls the auto reverse and music search function that had become bent and wouldnt function. I removed the spring as it was interfering with playback but did not attempt to reinstall it. As such both the auto reverse and music search functions do not work. I will include the spring if the buyer wishes to make the repair themselves. Other than that all other functions (Play, FF, RW etc) appear to work as they should and the unit sounds very nice. Also included is the original carry case but please note this is held together with duct tape. Please see pics for details. If you have any questions or wish to see additional photos just ask.
